Christopher graduated from Macomb High School in 1991 and has a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002. He has practiced law in McDonough and Champaign counties, and is a former Assistant State's Attorney for McDonough County. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar association and is a certified Notary Public. He plays softball on the St. Paul softball team in Macomb and is an avid scholar of history, politics and rock music. The son of Lee and Diane Tichenor of Macomb, he is married to Marianne Hartman Tichenor. They have two small children.
